Children's Iftar
We organized a children's Iftar dinner gathering for the primary school grades who experienced the worship of fast for the first time.
Through this gathering for Iftar, our students learned the importance of fasting. They enjoyed and learned together. At the Iftar table, where we came together to tell our children about the value of fasting, we felt the happiness of praying together and sharing the blessings.
The iftar was broken with the call to Dhuhr prayer. The children talked about traditional elements of Ramadan such as Ramadan stories, manis (short rhymed poems about Ramadan), traditional Turkish stage play, and diş kirası.
This meaningful event not only contributed to the social and spiritual development of our students, but also conveyed the special moments of the month of Ramadan and the value of our Iftar tradition to our students.
