Çanakkale Victory Commemoration Program

Prepared by high school students and teachers under the theme “Unknown Çanakkale,” the commemoration program created a powerful space for historical awareness through disciplined stage performance. Beginning with the National Anthem and Qur’an recitation, the program continued with musical pieces reflecting the spirit of the era.
Drama and oratory performances conveyed the human and military dimensions of the Çanakkale struggle, while a dramatized section on the adoption of the National Anthem emphasized the construction of national consciousness. With a Mehteran performance included, 49 students took active responsibility across all stages—from preparation to performance—demonstrating an interdisciplinary production.
Thematic installations in the foyer offered participants a vivid historical snapshot. Conducted in separate sessions for middle and high school students, the program reinforced the understanding of Çanakkale not merely as a military victory but as a symbol of collective existence and solidarity.
