A JOURNEY THROUGH HISTORY IN BEŞİKTAŞ: YILDIZ PALACE AND İSTANBUL NAVAL MUSEUM
Our 11th-grade students visited Yıldız Palace and the İstanbul Naval Museum as part of the trip titled “In the Shadow of Yıldız, Following Barbaros: Ottoman Stories in Beşiktaş.”
At Yıldız Palace, students observed the life, architecture, and palace culture of the Ottoman Era. At the İstanbul Naval Museum, they explored the history of the Ottoman navy and maritime traditions. Guided tours and game-based activities reinforced learning through active engagement.
The trip allowed students to deepen their historical and cultural knowledge, strengthen observational learning skills, and connect theory with real-life experiences. Group work and interactive activities supported collaboration, responsibility, and knowledge-sharing skills.
