Laylat Al-Baraah Celebration

To prepare ourselves for the blessed month of Ramadan and to reflect upon the meanings of the Laylat al-Baraah, a comprehensive program was held at the NÛN Mosque. Our high school students and teachers participated in the celebration. remind us of. This meaningful gathering was organized during the last class hour of the day; pages of a meticulously prepared Mushaf were distributed to participants, initiating a moral awareness.
Through the blessing of acting together, all pages were completed within nearly twenty minutes, and the high school khatm was accomplished. This practice aimed to support students in developing time‑management, focus, and coordinated action within a community, while also allowing them to witness how individual effort can contribute to a greater collective moral good. The program continued with reflections on the significance of the Laylat al-Baraah and the month of Sha‘ban.
Students were encouraged to approach these days with awareness and worship. Themes such as helping others, responsibility, and a sense of belonging to the school community were emphasized. The program concluded with prayers and hopes to reach Ramadan in wellness. We intend to pass on the cultural heritage of knowing the importance of blessed days.
