Educational Philosophy
The ideal of building a NUN characters is found at the heart of NUN Schools educational philosophy. This ideal envisions developing the character on the innate traits of the individual with the consciousness of its full potential.
NUN Characterized students have faith that they will think in the axis of “mind," take responsibility in the axis of “will-power," become a pioneer of doing good in the axis of “emotion” and developmental in the axis of “action. They should witness the hardship of raising “minding hearts” as well as having “minding hearts”. NUN students should face towards not only today, this geography or this human society. As they strengthen their core they should know the universal values, to be respectful and respected, owning human principles that are hard to stand by, question established systems that are taken for granted, to be brave hearts in a world full of injustices.
As we were looking for approaches that would support our vision we examined Primary Years Program (PYP), Middle Years Program (MYP) and Diploma Programs (DP). The program occupies itself with values and the question of “how” as much “what”, and for these reasons NUN Schools decided to keep this system the mean of applying NUN Philosophy. The aim of IB program is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world.
