Verse And Visuals Exhibition

The Verse and Visuals exhibition, prepared in collaboration with the Turkish Language and Literature Department and Applied Studies Department, brought art-loving students together for the second time this year. The exhibition area served as a place where students learned about poetry and literature, as well as visual arts; it was a spectacular experience to feel the poetry meeting the images. The exhibition was completed as a result of an intensive two-month study and consisted of 53 artworks, where students combined art and literature with different methods. Some students made a reproduction of a painting and wrote a poem inspired by this work, while others visualized a previously written poem and made it part of the painting. Some students expressed their thoughts through paintings and complemented these works with poems they wrote.
This process allowed students to develop their artistic eye by combining visual and verbal arts. Students who learned to convey their feelings and thoughts through different disciplines by integrating visual elements with written expressions also had the opportunity to deepen their aesthetic perceptions and critical thinking skills. This path allowed them to communicate their skills and be proud of their compositions.
