At the middle school and high school in our values education approach we place the value system that we have generated for the NUN personality we envisage as a prototype in the center. With the Koran conceptualization we emphasize the concepts love, respect, responsibility, justice, compassion and decency in our lessons and activities. We have generated our units moving from the topics “Belief, Worship, Islamic history and Ethics” and we teach these units synthesizing the IB Learner Profile attributes and values education concepts.
Our koran lesson forms another element of our curriculum besides our values education lesson. Here we have made groups for the lesson to facilitate learning and to increase motivation for learning. The content of our Koran lesson comprises of practices of “chant, origin, tajweed and memorization”.
